In the past droves of young graduates from Dhaka universities, including from the Institute of Business Administration have done their internships with GSS. Graduate students from the departments of Education, Sociology, Math, Physics, Biology, Government, Journalism and Business Administration, are welcome.

The period of internship could spread from 6 weeks to six months. GSS is an equal opportunity organization and makes no distinction between women and men graduates. The Interns are encouraged to visit the field and stay in the field for at least a third of their time with the organisation. Interns would not be required to pay towards food and accommodation in the field unless they were planning to eat out some of the times. However, it is best to forewarn potential Interns that facilities are modest out in the field. GSS has three Regional Training Centres (RTC) and about a dozen Cluster Offices with accommodation facilities.

It is best to apply at least three months in advance. Usually no money is paid to the Interns.
